Cincinnati United SC is actively seeking a highly qualified leader for the role of Director of Coaching (DOC) within the Northern CU programs. Cincinnati United Soccer Club is nationally recognized for player development and is the most competitive club in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana. The club currently includes more than 2,500 players and over 200 teams competing in local, regional and national level competition platforms including Girls Academy, USYS PRO, MLS Next and various US Club competitions.
Job Overview:
The DOC Cincinnati United (CU) U8-U19 will be working with the already successful local and nationally recognized CU program.
Primary Duties: Reports to the Executive Director, and President
Will work with and support the Northern CU Staff in the implementation and execution of the CU Talent Development Plan as well as assist in the execution of all operational aspects related to running a youth soccer club.
The candidate will assist in leading in the organization, administration, implementation and execution of operational tasks within the CU program. Attends, helps organize and leads weekly meetings, training, matches and showcases.
The candidate will lead planning, budgeting, organizing, implementing and maintaining the schedule for all CU North training (indoor/outdoor training facilities) in conjunction with CU Facility Scheduler.
Works with all leadership across CU and CUP to provide the best overall soccer experience in our market and beyond.
Minimum of 15 hours/week in the Club office.
Directs in the recruitment, placement and maintenance of a high level coaching staff for all teams.
Implements, supports, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of how the CU player development philosophy is being implemented across all areas of the program.
Contributes to the other sporting and professional moments within Cincinnati United Soccer Club (convention, camps, courses, events, meetings, media, etc.) as assigned by the Executive Director
Culture Adhere to all established CUP processes and protocols, as well as helping to improve both processes and protocols for continued growth within the program based on own experiences. Continue to improve upon the current CUP environment including but not limited to training atmosphere, club culture, and facilities
PUMA KING Club Work within any current and potential soccer specific programming within our PUMA & various relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a confident and positive leader, with previous experience in club leadership, who will work heavily with both staff and players to continue the growth of the entire CU North program. Experience coaching in national or regional level competition platforms (USYS, US Club, GA, MLS Next) is preferred as is a strong history of developing soccer players.
Minimum Qualifications:
USSF ‘C’ is the minimum standard of licensure (USSF B or higher preferred)
Track record of developing individual youth players
Prior experience coaching across the relevant age level (U8-U19) within a competitive club
Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize work in group and individual environments
Strong in organizational skills and communication in front of groups (membership & coaches)
Excellent on the computer with various platforms both in business (PowerPoint, Google platforms, etc.) and soccer specific (session planning) with the ability to integrate this information into training and match preparation as well as individual player development
