Cincinnati United Premier is happy to announce the hiring of Manoj Khettry as the new CUP Boys Director. “We are excited to bring Manoj back to Cincinnati with his wealth of experience both in leading youth clubs and Division I college programs. We are confident that he will work very well in improving the already very successful CUP boys program,” stated Scott Rodgers, Executive Director for Cincinnati United.
Club President Dan Kunkemoeller said the following about CUP’s new Boys Director: “We are looking forward to having Manoj here at Cincinnati United Soccer Club. He has invaluable experience in the college and youth markets and will complement Scott Bower very well to continue our reputation of developing players and offering our players great opportunities beyond the youth game.”
Originally hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, Manoj played collegiate soccer at Earlham College from 1984-1987 where he earned numerous All-Conference (1984, 1986, 1987), All-Region (1984, 1986, 1987) and All-American (1987) honors. After college, Manoj started coaching as a graduate assistant for the now defunct men’s soccer program at Miami of Ohio from 1991-1994. He then became the Director of Coaching for the Cincinnati Classics which led to his entrance into collegiate coaching. Between 1998 and 2006, Khettry served as Assistant Coach for the UC-Berkeley Men’s Soccer Team, as well as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at the University of Missouri and the University of Dayton before becoming the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at St. Bonaventure (2006-2012) and then the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Stetson University (2013-1018). He has also been actively involved as a member of Regional Staff ODP in Regions 1, 2 and 3 during his career.
Khettry responded to the hiring, saying, “I am extremely excited to return to Cincinnati and to youth soccer and to work with the best club in Cincinnati and one of the top clubs in the region. I have always seen myself as a teacher of the game and I am excited to be able to influence and add value to Cincinnati United. I have been incredibly impressed with the structure and organization put in place by the leadership of CUP (Dan Kunkemoeller, George Stinson, Scott Rodgers and Scott Bower) and what they have been able to create and accomplish with Cincinnati United Premier since 1993. I have had a chance to interact and meet with numerous coaches in the club, and the staff is excellent. I’m looking forward to working with them and the many players in the club on a daily basis.”
Manoj Khettry officially begins with Cincinnati United Premier in May 2019.
