Cincinnati United Announces "Mason Juniors Program"

Cincinnati United is committed to providing children and young adults of the Mason Community a full range of opportunities to enjoy and develop in soccer, at a level appropriate for their age, ability and interest. Cincinnati United has naturally attracted and developed a tremendous number of Mason children to its select program because of its location(s) in and around Mason, and due to the high quality and success of its programs.  Now, Cincinnati United is providing a program specifically for Mason area children under the age of eight, making a commitment to the Mason Community to provide a high caliber program for these ages.  The program, an addition to the Juniors Program already serving the Sycamore and Lakota areas, will serve as an effective bridge into Cincinnati United’s Competitive & Premier Programs for these young players. |more info|
Juniors Program Overview

Cincinnati United Soccer Club is proud and excited to offer the Future Crew Juniors Development Academy Program.  It is referred to as the Future Crew Juniors and is a youth developmental program offered to boys and girls 5, 6, 7, & 8 years old.

Boys Future Crew Juniors Website  |  Girls Future Crew Juniors Website

The Future Crew Juniors (FCJ) program is a youth developmental academy that provides instruction to 5, 6, 7, 8 year old players (boys and girls).  This program is designed to be the developmental bridge from recreational soccer to competitive soccer.  The professional trainers from Cincinnati United will provide age appropriate technical instruction and teach game behaviors to the very youngest players.

FCJ youth developmental program is vital to the foundation of the Cincinnati United Soccer Club. The focus at these critical ages is to enhance and encourage individual skill development while establishing a love and passion for the game.   As coaches and educators, we understand the importance of correct and relevant instruction at an early age, which will help foster success at an older age.  The learning environment that we create will be positive and safe for these young players.  This will aid in building confidence, self-esteem, and the love and passion for the game.

Key Components of the FCJ Academy:

  • The professional Cincinnati United training staff has developed a curriculum that focuses on the age-specific technical skills, combined with the tactical decision making, to ensure the right information is being taught to these players.
  • A stress-free non-results focused environment is created to help nurture and develop these young players.
  • Emphasis on skill development that focuses on long-term benefits, rather than short-term gain.
  • Sportsmanship, respect for oneself, respect for others, and respect for the game will be taught.
  • Parent education about the game of soccer, the club’s values, and information about the club’s competitive and premier programs will be provided.

FCJ Academy Programs:

  • 10 week season will be offered in the fall and spring for the Lakota and Sycamore Sites
  • 6 week winter instruction only will be offered in Jan/Feb

Mission

Our Mission

  • To provide a program that will offer free coaching education support that is unmatched in our region.  This support will be designed specifically to accommodate the needs of volunteer recreational coaches across all of the communities in northern Cincinnati.
  • To cultivate relationships with organizations that share a vision of partnership, which will prepare their coaches with all of the resources they need to coach recreational teams.
  • To develop associations with recreational programs who want a partner that can provide a trusted avenue to select soccer for interested players and coaches, and who will communicate this to their membership.
Club Overview

Cincinnati United seeks to provide children, teenagers, and young adults of Lakota, Lebanon, Mason, Sycamore, and all of the other neighboring communities throughout the Greater Cincinnati and southern Dayton areas a full range of opportunities to enjoy and develop in soccer, at levels appropriate for their age, ability and interest. It is recognized that different children play the game for different reasons and that Cincinnati United must therefore provide a variety of programs which serve the needs and interests of all children in the community.

Recreational Outreach Program
The purpose of our ‘Recreational Outreach Program’ is to provide a robust coaching education program designed specifically for volunteer coaches. Our program will support existing Recreational Organizations throughout northern Cincinnati.

Competitive Program
The purpose of our ‘Competitive Program’ is to provide higher levels of training and competition in community based locations to those players interested in select soccer and to their volunteer coaches who have a passion to give back to their community. While always striving to be competitive, team sports primarily teach the importance of teamwork. Good programs and coaches teach children, teenagers and young adults the way to compete- with passion, skillful play, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for themselves and others. Players will be offered opportunities for advancement based on their desires and on performance in tryouts and preceding playing seasons. Coaching will be volunteer-based, with a professional training and/or coaching component provided by a club approved trainer or coach.

Premier Program
The purpose of our ‘Premier Program’ is to provide an educational and competitive environment that consistently produces the most mentally, physically, technically, and tactically accomplished players in Ohio South, USYSA Region II, and the nation, recognized for their superior quality of play, knowledge and ability to articulate the game, sportsmanship, and passion for the sport. The players will be developed to compete at the highest levels of high school and college play. The program will be coached and managed by professionals who will provide the elite soccer development experience for talented soccer players and athletes, consistent with age appropriate expectations and commitment levels.
