PUMA® Kicks off Partnership Between Borussia Dortmund & Cincinnati United

Cincinnati, OH (June 2014) – Cincinnati United Soccer Club is excited to announce the kick off of a partnership with legendary German Club, Borussia Dortmund.  This partnership is facilitated by global sport brand PUMA ®  who is the official apparel and equipment supplier for both Cincinnati United and Borussia Dortmund.  PUMA’s Total Club Concept (TCC) program seeks to join top PUMA clubs in the US with world-renown global soccer organizations, such as Borussia Dortmund, thereby offering a direct & highly personal connection for both parties.  This is the beginning of a partnership which will include regular correspondence via newsletters to CU players & parents; training philosophies & drills for CU coaches, annual clinics to train with BVB coaching staff as well as many other programming activations.  To kick off the program, BVB hosted an on-field clinic where BVB Soccer School Coaches, Markus Pasdzior & Christian Dierks, facilitated a technical training session while over 250 coaches, players & their families had the opportunity to listen-in and get a behind the scenes understanding of the BVB training curriculum and club philosophy.

Borussia Dortmund is Germany's most intense soccer experience. Along with their club colors of black and yellow, the steadfast support and love of their fans is an expression of this intensity. Over 80,500 fans attended every home game in the 2013/2014 season, which is the highest attended soccer stadium in Europe.   BVB also set a new Bundesliga record after selling over 55,000 season tickets. BVB is one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in Germany. Since 1956, they have won eight German championships and three German Cups. They became the first German club to win a European trophy (the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1966) and the UEFA Champions League (in 1997). Their stadium, the Signal Iduna Park, was voted the best football stadium in the world by the London Times newspaper in 2009.  To learn more about Borussia Dortmund,
