Cincinnati United Premier's Emi Carlo Attends US Club id2

CUP U15 Girls Gold's Emi Carlo (1999 birth year) was selected to the US Club Soccer id2 National Training Camp at the PDA Soccer Complex in Zarephath, N.J last month.

“I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to attend id2 National Training Camp,” said Carlo.  “It was an honor to represent my club cup. All the athletes there were skilled, competitive, and supportive. Overall, I have made many new friends who I hope to see on the field again someday.  I would like to thank my former coaches Bobby Puppione (U11-U13) and Ben Urso (U14) and my current coaches Dave Simeone and David Robertson. They have all, in their own way, pushed and encouraged me to reach for a goal like this.”

"Emi has always been a pleasure to coach and we are happy to see all of her hard work pay off," said CUP Youth Director of Coaching, Bobby Puppione.  "We look forward to seeing her continue to grow in our CUP program in years ahead."

id2 Program Training Camps are invitation-only events that bring together the nation’s top male and female youth players for four days of competition, evaluation and fun. U.S. Soccer National Team staff, some of the nation’s top coaches as well as elite guest coaches and players attend id2 Program Training Camps. In addition to the on-field sessions, id2 Program Training Camps feature guest speakers, lectures/classroom sessions and other offerings.

“Opportunities in any selection process like id2 or ODP give players a glimpse of the next level. We're obviously excited that Emi was identified and included in this selection,” said CUP Senior Girls Director of Coaching, Dave Simeone.
