Cincinnati United's Paul Rockwood Inducted into Ohio Soccer Hall of Fame
CINCINNATI, OHIO (September 2013) -- CU Director of Coaching Paul Rockwood has been inducted in to the Ohio Soccer Hall of Fame. Paul has been involved in high level soccer since 1968 when he captained the University of Akron under Coach Bill Killen (pictured with Paul). He was named All-Ohio Team Most Valuable Player in 1969 and Best Defensive Player in 1970. Upon graduation he played professionally in the American Soccer League with the Cincinnati Comets from 1974-1975.
Paul began coaching in 1977. Since then he has been the Head State Youth Coach for OSYSA, Head ODP Regional coach, Head Coach at Oak Hills High School, Head Coach at St X High School, Head Coach at Northern Kentucky University and Director of Coaching with many local Cincinnati Soccer clubs. Paul currently is a Head Coach with Cincinnati United Premier program and Director of Coaching for Cincinnati United. Paul also works with the Columbus Crew and runs his soccer camps in the summers.
