Connor Andrews Selected for West Ham United Academy

Congratulations to CUP U12 player Connor Andrews who is “On the Road to West Ham United."  Connor will be traveling to London, England this March to train and play for the prestigious West Ham United International Academy under the guidance of legendary West Ham United Academy Director Tony Carr, MBE. 

Against thousands of other hopefuls, Connor participated in several player identification sessions.  He traveled to Morgantown, WV in March of 2012 and was selected to attend the final North American identification session held at the Darlington School in Rome, GA in July 2012. Connor is one of sixteen players chosen for the U11/U12 team selected from United States, Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, Australia, and Tawain-Singapore . 

The international team will be under the direction of West Ham United Academy Assistant Coach Paul Heffer who agreed to train and prepare the international visitors for matches. In addition to training, the elite group of players will experience staying in the West Ham hotel overlooking the Boleyn Ground pitch and visiting landmarks such as the London Eye and Wembley Stadium.
